Perhaps apocryphal, but I have heard the Mohd. Rafi refused to sing any
bhajans or such Hindu devotional songs after his Hajj pilgrimage. Is this
true? True or not, many such stories go around when some one reaches stardom
or achieves some fame. Weird things I heard that Amitabh Bacchan still owes
some paan walla an amount of Rs.150. Or that Jackie dada was indeed a dada
of some area in Malabar Hill in Mumbai. Mithun used to sell kaanda-batata.

I heard true things like Dilip Kumar used to be a fruit vendor.
Johnny Walker sold icecreams and then got a job as conductor in BEST to
fulfill his desire of seeing Bombay.
