  Raga for Rafi Song

Author: Somesh Jha
Date: Jan 22, 2008 10:39

Hello:

What is the raga for the following scintillating Rafi song?

"Mein apne aap se ghabra gaya hoon"

I simply love this song. It has a very haunting melody.

If anybody knows the lyrics, please post it as well.

Thanks
Somesh (jha@cs.wisc.edu)

PS: Listen to Mohd. Vakil's rendition of this song on youtube. It is
excellent.

'I Have Never Seen Anything as Beautiful As This in My Life'
http://en.epochtimes.com/news/8-1-18/64258.html

Hi, fellow dance lovers! My name is Sophia. I am a new comer in the
group.

Although I am not a professional and just performed Chinese dances in
the community before, I really appreciate the beauty of Chinese
dances. Recently I help to promote one Chinese classical dance and
cultural event in Minneapolis on Jan. 24, held in Northrop Auditorium,
University of Minnesota. This bilingual (English and Chinese) dance
and music show is one part of a 65-city worldwide tour show by Divine
Performing Arts group. (http://divineperformingarts.org/sy/ )

I watched the show in Chicago last year. It is amazing and very
surprising. My eyes were dazzled by this never-seen show, with a
harmonious combination of colorful Chinese traditional costumes,
choreography based on ancient China's folklore stories, live band of
Chinese traditional and western musical instruments, and 3-D high-tech
stage settings.

The tile of this message is from one audience in Montreal after he
watched the show. Sincerely recommend this once-in-lifetime show!
