- "Sharkey & C-Rayz Walz are Monster Maker"
I have yet to research who this Sharkey character
is, but this seems to be one of those producer-
rapper-matchups in the tradition of DangerDoom.
Me likes for the diverse sound that manages to
avoid the electro influence I hear on many of
these modern day sound clash affairs. It's hip-hop
beats with rock/pop arrangements but more power-
ful than say the second Gorillaz. C-Rayz is interes-
ting in a way where I don't feel I have to catch every
allusion and punchline he drops. He's like a more
down-to-earth Vast Aire (whose enunciations he
shares).

Funny story. Rayz knows that I know. And he's not too pleased
about what I think I know.

Its a mixtape not an album. I think that basically covers ever knock
you have against it.

Absolutely nothing on this (legit) copy indicates that
it's a mixtape. If anything, it would be a compilation.
But even that theory is undermined by it being billed
as an Ill Bill album.
Where'd you get this from? Do you derive it from the
fact that an Ill Bill CD/DVD set is due shortly?
I like how the 'mixtape' argument is used as a dis-
claimer put on rushed albums by some artists.

???
I don't get this, it's full of 'electro influences' that's one of its
best features...
I'd also suggest it's one of those albums that allegedly stopped being
made after '94...

You problably mean 'electro(nica)' as in influences
non-typical to contemporary hip-hop. I mean electro
as in the '80s genre.
