I listened to the new Fiddy on the way to work this morning. Felt the
way I normally do about his stuff, great production but lyrics by
numbers.
I have to admit to loving 'Peep Show' though, that's the shit.

I'm on the wall about Kanye. It's better than the last album, but
it's not great. The song about JayZ being a tool is good though. I
like when he reaches that point of honesty. Other than that the whole
"Im really humble but I know I got a right to be cocky" handbag is a
bit out of fashion.
As for Fifty Cent, I never even heard "Massacre" so I doubt I'll even
hear this one until every song makes the radio.

first week". "Let's raise the stakes....I'll never release another solo
project again if he beats me". Two garbage-ass rappers and people are
looking to see who outsells who. For my take, if these clowns were the
only two MCs left on Earth, I'd have to go back to my earlier 1980s MTV
video days as ALL that music was better than either of these dudes.

Childish, eh? I'm sure 50 will take that. 50 Cent is worth over 100
Million?
I say I have more to learn from 50 or Jay-Z than most rappers out
there.
Like 50 Cent vs. Immortal Technique....50 probably offers more value.

I'm not sure about the Kanye. Production wise is good, but I still
can't stand him as an mc, although he's more bearable than he used to
be I geuss.

I was looking forward to the 50 cent cd. But when I heard the advance
I was kinda bored with it. The only song I kinda liked was with Mary
J. Blige "All of Me". There were some alright beats and all but the
lyrics just put me off. Those lovey-dovey lyrics just sounded corny.
A Half thug and half romance album just doesn't mesh well. 2pac
pulled it off on "Me Against the World" but this one just didn't sit
right.
Hype will only ensure 1st week sales it's a good product that will
ensure it to multi-platinum status. But I'm sure there's enough loyal
50 fans to make this hit double platinum.
Kanye's cd on the other hand, I don't know what to make of. It'll
take me a couple of listens to really get into the album.
Lang Whitaker from slamonline.com wrote a bit about it and I pretty
much agree with what he says.
