If ever there was a group who's entire albums should be listened to,
it's Gangstarr. Their LP tracks are as strong or stronger as the
singles.

Start with the first four albums, in order. If the first one doesn;'t
blow you away, the 2nd one certainly will.

I'm jealous, I wish I could here them all for the first time again...

I'd go for "Hard to earn". Certainly my fave album from Gangstarr.
Avoid The Ownerz, which isn't all that good.
I've got "Full Clip", which is a not bad greatest hits, but not as good
as it could / should have been.
Though I've noticed that they now have out "Mass Appeal: the Best of
Gang Starr", which looks a little better in terms of a lineup.

If you had to pick just one album, i'd personally go for Hard to earn,
or Mass Appeal: the Best of Gang Starr.

Don't bother. Just go and throw yourself under a bus near you.
