No preaching here but yesterday my daughters brother-in-law (best man
at her wedding) passed away from alcoholic cirrosis of the liver at
age 31... what a blow to the family.

Apparently Bush hasn't gotten it yet that pollution is bad:

Hello everyone, I am back in the group for now. You never know when I
will disappear for a year or more, sorry about that. I am going to catch
a flight tonight to the wonderful place of Qatar (Bangkok of today). I
will be there for 5 days, at least. I will be sure to put a few pics on
my site, but at a connection of 12KB, a few pics are all that is going
up. Take care, everyone.

Bush pushes Congress to allow oil drilling

By TERENCE HUNT, AP White House Correspondent
21 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - President Bush prodded Congress on Friday to allow oil
drilling in offshore waters and in the Alaskan wildlife refuge, citing
"tough economic times" for the American people.

Bush met with his senior economic advisers at the Energy Department to
discuss soaring prices for gasoline and crude oil. Bush said one
answer is to increase supply in this country by tapping "the vast
potential" of crude oil reserves on offshore lands and in Alaska as
well as in oil shale in the western part of the United States.

With gasoline prices above $4 a gallon, Bush and his Republican allies
think American's reluctance to drill in pristine waters and lands is
diminishing and that there is an opportunity for oil companies to move
into areas that have been off limits.
