Fan club pros say Wright's went too far
By JEANNE ANNE NAUJECK
Staff Writer
Most artists of every musical genre use a fan club to help promote
their music and get it on the radio.
But professional fan club organizers said yesterday that the alleged
actions of Chely Wright's fan club president in promoting the
pro-troops song The Bumper of My SUV crossed an ethical line if fans
were asked to misrepresent themselves.
Country singer Wright dismissed Chuck Walter on Saturday after he was
accused of directing a 17-member special team of fans to say they had
personal military ties when calling radio stations to request the
song.
The tactics suggested fabricating ''sob stories'' to deejays about
relatives fighting overseas and posing as military personnel while
talking about the song on armed services Web sites, according to
e-mails and transcripts of a Web bulletin board provided to The
Tennessean by one of the fan club members.

Blake Shelton's Chely Wright Tweets Court Controversy
Posted May 26th 2010 11:15AM by Nancy Dunham
Blake Shelton's tweets have once again landed the outspoken singer in
hot water, with his Twitter followers weighing in on his late-night
tweet about fellow country artist Chely Wright, whose recent
revelation that she is a lesbian prompted him to comment: "Sooo.....
Chely Wright just came out. Guess this opens the door... I Blake
Shelton am a lesbian."
Even though Blake assured his Twitter followers he was complimenting
the singer, prompting others to weigh in that Blake meant no harm with
his comment, the exchanges have continued, with some becoming
antagonistic and/or vulgar, while other Blake "followers" simply
decided to "un-follow" the singer.
"Haters.. When I say someone is HOT it's actually a complement... Get
it?" Blake wrote in response to some negative comments. "I don't care
if Chely Wright is gay. I think she's hot!!!"

WISH ME AWAY- THE FILM
This is a unique moment in our country. While the tide of history may
be turning in favor of gay equality, there are those who are still
resistant to change. Out of the turbulence of social change that
creates distance among us, comes a voice that touches all of us.
This film chronicles the story of the first performer to emerge from
the world of country music to tell her story in a very public way,
facing a culture that rejects those who do not conform to its
carefully marketed image.
Wish Me Away will transform hearts and minds with a character who
speaks the language of someone born and raised in the Heartland, the
daughter of conservative religious parents; a girl whose only dream
was to be a country music star. But she happened to be gay.

Falling in love is such a wonderful, exciting experience that
songwriters devote vast amounts of time reminding fans how special it
is. When Chely Wright fell in love, she feared it could cost her the
job she

Exactly my experience, Tony. String basses in OT bands still sound
strange to me.
As far as playing for dances goes, sure, a bass helps set the time. But
I have heard the story so often about a fiddle being the ONLY instrument
in early dance situations. And Mance Lipscomb, when he stayed with me,
would so often recollect how he played for dances -- often all night
long. It was his thumb on the bass strings that set and kept the time,
and man was that solid!

You left out one very important piece of information; they were all Jews.
Most were Bolsheviks.
