I am comparing transcriptions of BWV 1001 for a Soundboard article. So far I
have Alfonso, Koontz, Dussault, Mourat, and Wensiecki. Any others
recommended? Source?

Hi Richard-

Mine, but not published, at least so far, and anyway, it's for 8-string
guitar.

I have been spending the summer organizing all my Bach arrangements,
most of which needed to be put into the computer. For 27 years I've
been playing a version of BWV 1000 that was mostly 1000, and a little
bit from the 1001 fugue (for those that don't know the difference
between the two, BWV 1001 is the Sonata #1 in G minor for Violin
Unaccompanied, the second movement being a Fuga; BWV 1000 is a lute
arrangement of this fugue, not done by Bach but probably by a lutanist
friend of his, Johann Christian Weyrauch).
