This young lady has only been playing guitar for a year, but she has a great

We're winning in Iraq but the media won't report it.

My dear fellow Americans it is a sad day in our history when the media has
become so politically biased that they refuse to report that we're winning
the war in Iraq.

Winning Isn't News
July 07, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Iraq: What would happen if the U.S. won a war but the media didn't tell the
American public? Apparently, we have to rely on a British newspaper for the
news that we've defeated the last remnants of al-Qaida in Iraq.

London's Sunday Times called it "the culmination of one of the most
spectacular victories of the war on terror." A terrorist force that once
numbered more than 12,000, with strongholds in the west and central regions
of Iraq, has over two years been reduced to a mere 1,200 fighters, backed
against the wall in the northern city of Mosul.

The destruction of al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) is one of the most unlikely and
unforeseen events in the long history of American warfare. We can thank
President Bush's surge strategy, in which he bucked both Republican and
Democratic leaders in Washington by increasing our forces there instead of
surrendering.

  Excellent Photographer for Musicians

Author: Andrew Schulman
Date: Jul 8, 2008 11:59

For those of you that live in the New York area and need publicity
photos at some point, I want to recommend the photographer, Peter
Schaaf:

http://peterschaaf.com/

We have a new bass player in my group, and also have a new booking
agency, so we needed new photos. We spent an afternoon with Peter
last week, in his studio - Upper West Side, Manhattan - and in
Riverside Park. On the home page at my site are two of the outdoors
photos (go to Abaca String Band page to see one of the studio shots).
He also did some solo shots of me, scroll down on home page.

He's not inexpensive, but not too expensive either. A lot of
professional musicians in NY hire him as you can see at his website.
He's thoroughly professional but also a very nice guy, very easy to
work with. And he's a former professional pianist, used to accompany
the tenor Jon Vickers among others.

I highly recommend him.

Andrew

Question re Different published versions of Moonlight Sonata tablature

Author: catpandaddy

I am aware of performances in A-minor and D-minor. Are there other
published tablature transcriptions for guitar, either in or out of
circulation, or is it just those two?

Saddam's Nukes
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Monday, July 07, 2008 4:20 PM PT

WMD: Hear about the 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium found in Iraq? No?
Why should you? It doesn't fit the media's neat story line that Saddam
Hussein's Iraq posed no nuclear threat when we invaded in 2003.

It's a little known fact that, after invading Iraq in 2003, the U.S. found
massive amounts of uranium yellowcake, the stuff that can be refined into
nuclear weapons or nuclear fuel, at a facility in...
