I could not imagine two more aesthetically opposed composers than Wagner and
Chopin.

Yet I have been finding it difficult to find out exactly what they thought
of each other.

Did either comment on the other?

chopin died before wagner reached his prime, so he had not much to say
about the ring etc.
cosima wagner's diary lists some comments of wagner about chopin's
work.
apparently wagner wasn't very familiar with it and found it
interesting.
