I'm no longer interested, however, and hopefully people have a better

well... This is just a thought. I am probably wrong. But we all know
that George had it out with Paul several times for his lack of guitar
participation on Paul's songs. Hey Jude was one time and another can
be seen on Let It Be. Well, can it be that Paul's usage of David
Spinozza's magnificent guitar solo at the end was Paul's way of saying
screw you to George? Has this ever been considered? I'm sure it might
have entered George's head when he heard the long extended heavy duty
guitar solo. What do you think?

met Springsteen on the day of his audition for Columbia Records. We had a
great conversation about Bruce; The Beatles etc and there was another guy
there who worked with Mert Avis who produced the videos for Tunnel of Love /
Tougher Than the Rest etc

Bob Smeaton, who was co-director, along with Geoff Wonfor, of the Beatles
Anthology, sent us this exclusive statement:

Chips Chipperfield

Chips was one of my best friends, and was responsible for making the time I
spent working on the Beatles Anthology one of the happiest and exciting
times of my life. We would often remark on how fortunate we were to be able
to come into work and spend the whole day listening to Beatles music.
Whenever we would have a section of the programme edited we would invite
Chips into the edit suite and it was always great to see a big smile break
across his face, this was a sign that he was happy with the work we were
doing.

Chips and I worked on a number of other projects together outside of the
Beatles and even when were we not working on projects together I would ring
him and ask for his advice and he was always happy to pass on his knowledge.
Anyone who met Chips would remark on his friendliness and his great head of
hair and his infectious laugh. I will miss him very much.

the Beatles Anthology and won a 1996 Grammy Award (along with Neil Aspinall,
Bob Smeaton, Geoff Wonfor and The Beatles for Best Long Form Music Video for
the project), and also produced documentaries on Paul McCartney ("Liverpool
Oratorio" from PBS' "Great Performances", "Put It There"), Jimi Hendrix
("Hendrix: Band of Gypsies"), the Pet Shop Boys, Elizabeth Taylor and The
Who, has died after a heart attack suffered Tuesday in Ireland, reports
musicweek.com. He was 65.

The Beatles issued the following statement on their website:

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Chips Chipperfield, who has
sadly passed away. Chips was the Grammy award winning producer of the
Beatles Anthology, and a long serving member of the Apple Corps family.
Warm, wise and kind, he was loved and respected by all those who worked with
him. His youthful spirit and enthusiasm for life will continue to be an
inspiration to all those who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all of
us.
And former McCartney publicist Geoff Baker sent us this exclusive statement:


Chip was a lovely, lovely man - like most if not all of Neil's Boys, he was
unorthodoxly creative and that made him a joy and a gas to work with. He was
the producer of The Beatles Anthology, the greatest TV achievement in the
history of rock and roll and, more than that, the lovely thing about Chips
was whenever he hugged you, you always felt that he meant it. We will all
miss him hugely.

disc. WMGGW what the fuck was that??
Quite a good if a note for note cover of I,m So Tired,.
But my ears pricked up during Dont Pass me By, which started off with a
similar style to the Anthology 3 version of Helter Skelter.
But the clincher is the Dont Pass me By lyric sung in the exact tune of Dont
Let Me Down!!
