Here is what I take it from Phil Spector, who confessed in the courts
in 1970, that he had to remix "Long and Winding Road" because of
Lennon's mistakes on bass guitar. McCartney, still furious with
Spector said that he could have re-recorded or edit out the mistakes.

With all this controversy surrounding the layering of violins, cellos,
trumpets and two guitars, the most attention is focused on Lennon's
lack of bass playing skills in this part of the court case.

I was wondering if such versions of Lennon's bass playing exist. Is it
possible that there is a bootleg out there of the master version of
the January 31, 1969 session when the lyrics and structure were
supposedly different than what was used by Spector? (he apparently
chose the January 26 recording)

The widow of John Lennon is fighting to keep private rare footage of
the Beatles legend seen hunched over a piano, smoking marijuana, and
joking about putting LSD in US president Richard Nixon's tea.
World Wide Video LLC, a Massachusetts-based company, claims it owns
the 10 hours of raw footage shot at Lennon's UK estate almost four
decades ago, before the Beatles' break-up. But Yoko Ono claims she is
the rightful owner of the intimate footage and wants to keep the
material private.
World Wide Video has filed a lawsuit against Ms Ono, claiming her
attempts to stop the company from publicly showing the footage is a
copyright infringement.
At preliminary hearing in the case in US District Court in Boston,
arguments on Ms Ono's motion to dismiss the lawsuit were scheduled
for
May 21. Both sides also agreed not to show the film while the case
goes through the courts. ...

Yes I know it's depressing, but there is a story line in Coronation
Street at the moment in the UK which involves the loss of a baby. It
had to be induced and was dead in the womb. Now I didn't realise that
mother and child still have to bond as such, so that the mother can
grieve properly.... and full on funerals take place.......so in my
warped Beatle mind I wondered if there was a funeral for the 1969 baby
that YO lost (called John Lennon II I think). If so one would have
thought it was reported in the UK press.
