The RMB Talent Channel Presents "Ralph (The Purple Canary)" by Rich Leavitt - (The Video)

Author: Bip Bop

Here is a song by Rich Leavitt that had its birth in the 60s, but
that he "just never got around to pulling together". He recently added
"a couple of ideas and made "it a 'real' tune". It's a lot of fun, and
I hope Rich, who posts here on RMB as RichL, doesn't mind that I
edited it a bit, and added the sound of a canary to his song. Enjoy!

Yoko's Plight. It's Not What You Think

Imagine going against your nature. Remember Lennon saying in his
Playboy interview that he doesn't believe in yesterday. Now once that
man is dead his spouse is forced to delve into the past repeatedly.
It's not enough to dredge though the past to breath new life into
previous work (based on another time) but you must do it in a way that
passes the smell test of critics and fans. And if you give yourself a
break and start living for today, perhaps giving love another chance
or two then you face a different sort of wrath. You see, by devoting
time to managing a former lover's past work, you can't please all the
people all the time. And it's those ingrateful backseat drivers you
find yourselve measuring your anger against-no?

Would you be kind enough to post a link to your site. I would be very
interested to hear your music. It is always refreshing to hear someone
else's *take* on the subject of Music...particularly someone you share a
newsgroup with. There are a few folks here at RMB that have offered to share
their music with others here...including myself...I hope you will share your
music with us. Please feel free to *not promote*... ;^) Just share.

Thank you.

Three Networks To Air $100 Million Cancer Fundraiser

By Paul Clolery

All three television networks, CBS, NBC and ABC, will air a star-
studded one-hour cancer fundraising special on Sept. 5, a first of its
kind event for a national audience.

The Los Angeles-based Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) is the
lead organization for the event, which will air live from the Kodak
Theatre in Los Angeles. The event will feature celebrities and cancer
experts asking viewers to give to the project, which will fund “dream
teams” of researches, sources told The NonProfit Times.

The event will be produced by Laura Ziskin, an award-winning Hollywood
producer who produced or executive produced movies such as Spider-Man,
As Good As It Gets, What About Bob?, and also last year’s 79th Annual
Academy Awards.
