Just back from our little roadtrip - the Jake, the RnRHOF, a hotel room with
king size bed and .... no kids!
Life is S W E E T sweet
Our hotel was 2/3 red Sox fans, everywhere we went we saw Sox fans in town
for the games.
Lovely architecture to look at (I'm a sucker for old buildings)
RnRHOF - yeah it may become a tourist trap, but what the heck I enjoyed it -
especially the postcards Patti Smith wrote back to her folks, what a good
daughter they raised - her little notes were so sweet and full of love for
her mom and dad you could tell. It was cool to see some of the stage
costumes, but these guys need more meat on their bones though - skinny,
skinny little guys. Where else but Cleveland could you see Michael
Jackson's glove in all it's glory?

Hey Mary-Ellen,
Do they still have Janis Joplin's psychedelic car there? I loved
that!

the cub scot uniforms were there, no Janis car, but a couple of her stage
outfits.
We didn't hit the flats (too tired after the drive and then the games ...
plus that hotel room was calling us back for no kid fun too;-)
I want to go back just to see a few more things like the art museum and more
of the buildings. I also want to take Rich down to the old stomping
grounds in Columbus.
We have decided to make annual; summer trips to see the Sox play in
different parks - we are thinking Toronto next summer. I've never been
there or to Niagra Falls.

I could have kicked myself. I had intended to go out there when the
Phillies were at the Jake, but it slipped my mind until it was too
late. Oh well....maybe in 2009 :-)
They lost 2 out of 3 anyway...fucking Tribe :-(

It is there, though it might not be on display. Last Friday, Patti
Smith was at the RRHOF for an early (!!) morning concert, which was
aired on CBS' Morning Show... they were in town doing their show...
