75,000 people at a political rally?
http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/portlandrallyvideo
maybe it is, and I haven't been paying attention all these years
(highly likely), but sh*t that seems like a lot of people. I'm having
a difficult time imagining that many people showing up for McCain.

they looked to me a lot more likely to go back to caring about how to
keep putting food on the table, or gas in their cars of if there kids
will be drafted into some dumbass war to me.
I think one of the best unintended consequences of this protracted Dem
primary is that not only have voters across the country seen the
mettle that Obama is made of, under stress, but the Dem party overall
has been gradually reaching a maximum state of preparedness, awaked-
ness (word?) which wouldn't have happened otherwise. Either Clinton
or Obama going up against McCain in November without this refining
might have led to another limping to victory by the Republicans, altho
I think to less of an extent than 2004.
imo, etc
