Simple answer is that due to the current Sony contract, more product
from Bruce is available than ever before.
And, should there be a second US leg of the tour, repeat business
is guaranteed for fans who want to see/hear how the spring 08 material
sounds live.

Back in the day, when the boys in the band were younger, they had
really no much else to do but sit around and play the music until they
got it right. Nowadays, they all have other commitments and such, and
their getting together to hash things out before recording is limited.
Hence, the current process.

And as BlueTele wrote recently, same as it ever was, to a large
degree-- Bruce told 'em what to play, and they played it.
