One of my all-time favorite bumper stickers (no idea where it came from)
said "Friends don't let friends by music at Wal-Mart". I agree
completely. Their ability to censor what an artist wants to sell, either
in lyrics or cover art is amazing. As far as "hard copies" of music
(actual CD purchases) they rank #1, and if an artist wants them to carry
their music, they must cave to this retail beast.

I don't need another Bruce greatest hits, and I sure don't need one from
Wal-Mart.

Sounds like the Wal-Mart I know too well.

Yup. And once again, I'm puzzled by all this arguement over a cd that none
of us is going to buy anyway. Once again, some kid of a Wal-Mart shopper
might be inspired to pick up a guitar. I ain't no Wal-Mart fan but at the
same time I just don't see the harm in any of this.

  (nbc) Blu Ray tech questions

Author: media69

Here are some random Blu Ray questions. Please forgive me as im not
as tech savy as others around here.

1. Is it true you can play Blu-Ray disks as well as older DVD disks
if you have a Wii system? or is it just the PS3 that can play both.

2. Can anyone reccomend a good quality Blu-Ray player that is
popular at the moment?

3, (i think i will run for cover on this one) Can Blu Ray players
upconvert both NTSC and PAL disks?

thanks

can anyone point me towards any online sites that deal in re-selling
European concert tickets, specifically in Scotland? I looked for
something like Stubhub over there, but couldn't find one.

thanks again,
susan

does anyone here have a pet on a prescription that they get filled
somewhere other than their Vet's office? Our dog is on a wonder drug
for his arthritis now, but it's a bit expensive-I was wondering if
someone can recommend any of the mail order/online suppliers of
animals meds?
(I found Petcarechoice.com, for example, but would like to go with
somewhere recommended by a pet owner).

thank you very much,
susan
