I could live without either, but, if someone tied me to a chair and made me
watch one, it would be Betty...
BUT YA KNOW....
There was a terribly innappropriate moment during Gerald Ford's funeral.
See, I've got one of them newfangled TVs that will dispaly the title of the
program as you tune to any given channel (provided, of course, that that
channel has put the data there for the display to read. Well, on the
Saturday when the networks were covering the ceremonies in Washington, they
went past 8 PM, and the titles displaying were for the programs originally
scheduled to be on at that time. As I tuned to ABC, the president's widow
was on the screen, and the title read "Ugly Betty"...

Honest to gawd, Nic, i didn't know who "Simon" was either.
I've never seen 'Idol.' I had the read the article to know who
that was.
There are average everyday people, not just Amish
or deep-Appalachia-dwellers, who don't have these shows
in their Personal Universe!!
We are, possibly, nerds, but not liars!
cheers!

My wife and I just watched "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks and Caterine Zeta
Jone (who looked gorgeous). I loved this movie, but the guy doesn't get the
girl in the end which makes me mad. I think that's why I like "The Notebook"
so much because the guy gets the girl.
While I'm thinking of it, other movies I like where the guy doesn't get the
girl are:
Moulin Rouge (well, he gets her briefly, but then she dies!)
Snow Falling On Cedars (liked the film, but it left me cold)
Shopgirl (that's because Steve Martin's character was an idiot)
Brokeback Mountain (Haven't seen it, but, I understand the guy doesn't get
the girl in the end)
