The bulbs are dual filament types. But the brighter filament normally
works
as a turn signal, and the dimmer filaments are the running lights,
which get power when the headlights are on.

I suspect you have some crossed wiring right near the point where the
rear fender bolts to the frame.

1986 Shadow Idles OK but pops, sputters and hesitates with throttle advance

I have cleaned both carb bowls and all the jets. Fuel filter is OK and
fuel pump is pushing fuel thru gas lines. Plugs look OK. Air cleaner
is off, so there is no air blockage. Rubber carb intake boots are tight.
Why won't this bike rev up and run right at higher rpms??? Any ideas?

Stop bike thieves with a visual deterrent!

The Mini Grip is a small, lightweight, portable anti-theft wheel lock for
Scooters or Motorcycles. Made from tube steel, it weighs only 2.5 lbs.

It only takes two seconds to install thanks to its design and seven pin push
lock. With its yellow powder coated surface it acts as a visual deterrent.

It is designed to fit around the wheel of any Scooter, Motorcycle or Dirt
Bike.

  Shifting Problems

Author: Koss
Date: Jul 20, 2008 11:33

I own a 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic. Last week I was riding and heard
a clicking or rattling noise in 3rd gear. I parked the bike for several
days. I then rode it from my garage and after about 3 miles I am unable to
shift lower than 4th gear. I now only have 4th & 5th gears.

Any ideas or fixit ideas.

thanks.

  Charging System CB750 Custom

I had a charging problem when I purchased the cb750c it would not
charge the battery,I went thru the troubleshooting guide from
Electrosport and determined it was the rectifier/regulator I replaced
that all was well, about two weeks later its not charging the battery
again any help would be great has anyone had this problem? The
Rectifier/Regulator was brand new from Dennis Kirk...
Battery will accept a charge with no problem,if the battery happened
to be bad would it still show the correct amount of voltage across the
terminals when running 12.8-14.5 if everything else was good?????????

  1986 Shadow:WHY WON'T IT STAY RUNNING?

Author: Scott Seely
Date: Jul 13, 2008 17:42

I drove my Shadow last fall. It seemed fine. Yes, it sat around all
winter, but I just drained all the old gas out at the fuel filter hose
(filter is not clogged BTW), put in fresh gas, removed air cleaner,
checked coil resistance (OK), have decent spark in at least one plug,
and have fuel flow at gas line to carbs, so fuel pump works. Battery is
well charged, but bike only runs for a few seconds when starting ether
is sprayed in air intake, and then will NOT keep running, no matter what
I do with choke and throttle positions: NOT EVEN A POP; NOTHING...
I am baffled! Any ideas? Thanks.
