On this website are pages like http://www.pathgate.org/ccks_whatis.html
and
http://www.pathgate.org/pi_intro_chi_kung_00.html. And associated
pages.

Here's a quote:

"What is Chi/Qi?

Chi is the Intrinsic Energy which sustains the configuration and
integrity of all forms and substances in the Universe. It is the Life
Force which regulates the ebb and flow of the vitality of all things.
It is referred to as rlung in Tibetan, prana in Sanskrit, ki in
Japanese. Aristotle referred to it as the souls of energy that exist
throughout nature where signs of life are to be found."
> I call bullshit.

Of course it's bullshit. Chi, rlung, ki, prana, and Aristotle's souls
of energy are all completely different things. For one thing, anyone
who was familiar with Chi flow would not describe it as an intrinsic
energy which sustains the configuration of /anything/ in the universe,
because that is not what it does.

Now carefully consider the following quote pulled from a separate
section of the website:

"
How does Chi travel within the Human Body?

Chi travels within the human body via an energy grid of eight mai (chi
vessel), twelve jin (chi meridian), and a complex network of luo
(minor chi capillaries). The principal role of the eight mai is to
serve as chi reservoirs for the entire body and to maintain a
consistent supply of chi flow to all the organs, extremities and body
parts through twelve branches of jin. From these twelve jin - each of
which is associated with a specific organ - millions of luo branch out
to carry chi flow to the skin, to the marrow, as well as conveying chi
interaction between the organs."

This actually does not answer the question how it travels - however,
it is certainly a conflicting definition compared to the first one.

Furthermore, upon quick perusal of the other pages, in particular
http://www.pathgate.org/pi_intro_cia_00.html it becomes apparent that
what is being taught at this center is not something which is well-
defined. Who knows what the hell you're being taught? Certainly not
all of Shaolin, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Hsing-I Chuan, Nei Kung, Shen
Kung, Pa Kua, Yi-Chuan, or Liu Ho Pa Fa.

Or any one of them.

What a confusing website.

I would also postulate that http://www.pathgate.org/pi_intro_cia_03.html
contains severely incorrect definitions.
