A right Thai kick to the left thigh followed by a left savate style
sidekick to either leg. The footwork's kind of tricky but it can be
done quickly and sets up some nice punch combinations.

I bought one of Chas's saps. It feels nice in the hand, around the
fingers. It's a very friendly feel, that nice tight fine leather over
the shot, and though I have no experience with it as a weapon, it just
feels right having one.
It's the feeling that goes with the thing.... that when you have to
fight, you really should, and should be able to walk away.
Fine art and craftsmanship, can give that assurance :^)

How do you know this? Who was killed, when and where? It's one thing to make
these claims, it's quite another to back them up with facts.

What ring? A boxing ring? No boxer uses WT, at least no boxer of any note that
I'm aware of? If so, who are they?
These are bold statements you make, so you have to be prepared to back them up
with facts, not anecdotes.

I haven't been Mr Aikido in a while now. I should go back for a drop in.
Maybe Saturday.

Unless you define 'hindrance' as 'effective' dealing with the clinch
situation.

Yes- and you can use them to open up the clinch, remain in the clinch and
fight, or close from clinch to grapple/ground effectively.

That's why the early Filipino obsession with Boxing; surely 1880's, maybe
earlier- and why they do so well in their weight-class. That's where a lot
of Cassius Clay's use of the ring came from; his angulation...
