  [Video] Superior Playground Juggling

Author: Warren Hammond
Date: Sep 19, 2008 23:04

Earlier this summer, Jeff Lutkus, Bekah Smith and I recorded these clips
at a playground near Jeff's and my old apartment in Superior, Colorado. I
put together a video from the clips, which got destroyed, then Bekah made
the video again, sent it to me, then I forgot it was on my computer,
posted it to youtube, then tried to start a thread about it on rj about a
week ago (still hasn't showed up), and had to re-post it in this thread
which will hopefully actually get posted this time. I think this video is
cursed...

Contents!

1. Awesome
2. New Juggling game!
3. Playground and swings
4. Juggling
5. Goofing around and hitting Jeff in the face
6. A dog

And the link...

Enjoy!

  Ball releases, collects, and multiplexes

Author: Brian Campbell
Date: Sep 19, 2008 22:19

So, I've been trying to pay a little more attention to things like my
releases and catches, and also been trying out various different kinds
of multiplexes. I'm wondering if I've been doing my releases and
catches in the wrong order (if you can even say one way is better than
another), and if so, whether I should try and re-learn a different
order.

Since Steven Ragatz has a nice picture of some ball grips, i'll use
his pictures as reference for what I'm talking about:
http://www.stevenragatz.com/tutorial/grips/grip1.htm

Now, the first thing I noticed is that I release my balls in a
different order than he has listed on there. When I'm releasing 3
balls from a hand, I throw them in the order 2, 1, 3, using his
numbering. This is also the opposite of the order I catch them in; I
catch 3, then 1, then 2.

Then, I watched Dan Marden's multiplex tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_N8nyWtrso

He seems to catch 3 balls in the order that Steven lists for throwing
3; 1, 2, 3 in the pictures on Steven's site.

  5 Club juggling tricks

Author: Jacob Nachsin
Date: Sep 19, 2008 12:58

What are the best 5 club tricks to help with making my 5 clubs better? I
have gotten to the point where my five clubs is not solid but solid enough
to make practicing it by itself boring. I am looking for easy 5 club
tricks that make the cascade better.
Thanks
Jacob

  Fatigue-induced juggling prowesses

Author: Le_lemGo

Has anyone experienced (mostly at conventions, as far as I'm concerned)
that having being deprived of normal sleep several days in a row, that
your juggling abilities seemed to be better, that you were able to do
stuff you previously thought were beyond your skill level? I did
experience that at my last convention, where I tried and succeeded in
flashing a 6b shower after a couple of trials (even if I still have
difficulties with 5, I just thought I could give it a try). Anyone with
similar experiences?
