Hi guys,
Need circuit boards for The Atarians pinball by...Atari.
I've posted on this before and got a few responses offering other
Atari boards, but looks like the EASIER way to go would be to try to
find DEDICATED Atarians PCB and fuse boards (since other may or may
not be able to be converted, and at least not cheaply). Anybody have
either or both? Of course working would be great and preferable, will
consider non working also.
Thanks,
Jeff

OK for those that did not see my earlier post - I've got an old EM Pyramid
(Cleopatra just 2 players) that looks like this
http://www.timeless.net.au/gone.JPG
I've only just worked out its the Mylar that has been baked on I suspect by
the sun. However both Freeze spray and heat methods are not working on
this-it comes off in chips and where its really brown takes the playfield
with it
Any more suggestions?
Tony

I am in the process of restoring my Bally Strikes & Spares, which has
the wire ground braid on the back of the PF and also the backside of
the wood panel behind the backglass. When I last did this on another
game, I had a heck of a time getting the solder to "adhere" to the
groundbraid wire when attaching it to light sockets. It was almost
like water and oil, the solder would not flow onto the groundbraid
wire no matter how much heat. Is flux the answer or some other form
of cleaner to get a better flow of solder on to the wire braid?

Reading a few posts I realized that the death of collectors causes a
great deal of controversy among family members who don't have a clue
about what machines are worth or how to care for them. So what should
be done with your pinballs?
As for me I have just enough that each close member of my family could
be willed one machine. * really it is just the ones I actually like
that would get one.
Everyone comes to my home at Christmas they all love to play the
machines, I think if there is one thing they will remember about my in
the unlikely untimely death is how much I enjoy the hobby. So I
think trying give one to my favorite family members might be the right
thing to do.
I don't think I would want my family to sell them off unless they came
upon extremely hard times. Besides that I am sure it would irritate
the hell out of the next guy my wife decides to drive to an early
grave.

working on the special solonoid area of GnR.
The left slingshot was locked on CN19 pin 6 due to someone cutting the
diode on the coil.
replaced the tip 122 with a tip102 and getting readings of 5.03/6.13
replaced the 2n4401 with a 2n5401 and getting readings of 1.768/5.80
I even removed the transistors i replaced and tested others with
alligator clips with the same results.
what other factor will cause the reading to not be in spec?
Nothing is shorting between the pins i've replaced. all the grounds
buzz out fine, and everything buzzes out to the next pin.
the trace is bad between the 102 and the 4401 so i bent over the pins
for the drive and pre-drive and soldered them together and to the
trace.
thanks for any ideas!
so close :(

Finally got a chance to play IJ today. A mint one on location. Looks
like it just got there as it's as clean as if you took it out of the
box. Game looks a lot better in person. The side art looks more
pixilated in person than it did in the pictures, but the playfield
looked better, so it was a wash.
Visually, the game is decent. Playing it, it was ok. Not terrible,
and not knock your socks off. It's kinda like POTC was. Where you
have one really impressive toy, but none of the gameplay or layout...
