Dr. Dude as inspiration for another character?

Author: Josh McCormick
Date: Jan 15, 2008 22:48

I've always wondered...

Do you think that Dr. Dude was the inspiration for Doctor Dick?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIYF9exhm-Q (not safe for work)

There seems to be some things very much in common with the two characters.

Safety seems to not come up too much compared to all the 'how to' questions
about clearcoat. You NEED breathing and eye protection and a little known
option is the military surplus gas mask. I've searched...

Will there be a CAX 2008?

Author: Pinfatuated

I sent an email to the address on the website and have not received a
response...

I'm wondering if California Extreme is being planned for 2008. If so,
what dates are planned and will it be in the same city / location.
Not sure if the fires affected the organizers and/or site - hope not.
Just wanted to start planning if there will be a CAX 2008.

If you find one let me know.....I am putting the whole goldkit on now
and have the gold balls. Definately need the new newton ball. I
should've probably sent it out for plating when I sent the wire ramps
out for replating. I'm thinking of getting gold screen for the
speaker covers too. And maybe some type of trim for the edges of the
backbox.

  Pinball 2K Project Update

Author: chuck
Date: Jan 15, 2008 21:28

Just a pin2k project update. We played our first few games of RFM
using a new pc hooked up to a RFM machine without a prism board ;-)
There is still a lot of work to be done but this is a pretty
substantial milestone. I can't say anything further other than we
will update you, maybe with video, within a few months.

I wanted to give a public shout out "Thank You" to Lloyd the great.
During the San Diego wildfires I lost my home and 11 pinballs......

To get my gameroom started again, Lloyd sent me a Pirates of the
Caribbean Translight signed by Dennis Nordman!!!!

What an awesome gift to a person he has never meet, and rarely post on
RGP. I lurk daily but rarely contribute.

Since the fire I have picked up one machine a '48 Lady Robinhood.

Thanks again Lloyd, and everyone who sent their best wishes,
Glenn Chatfield

Data East Time Machine - Newbie to Pinballs

Author: gman

Hello all, I am new to these pinballs, this is my second one. I just
traded an old pac man machine for this unt, it looks great, however,
on CN8, switch drive 2 the1000 ohm resistor was blown on the cpu. I
replaced the resistor and the transistor, hooked it all back up, and
it blew the resistor again. If I do not plug in the C8, it boots up
and talks, lights flash, etc....but of course will not play. If i
let it blow, all the built in tests pass, flippers work, music, led,
etc.....and the game says "ball missing".

I am guessing something is shorting out in the switch matrix, but am
not sure what to do next to figure this thing out. I tried
unplugging the trough switches, and anything else I could find, but it
still blows when i plug it back in.

Any hints on what to test out next?

thanks.....

Chris called me today, but we were in the studio doing videos

missed out on seeing Bull's collection this year ... bummer
