Yo!
We all know this. I know this. Yet it happened.
Someone got my Visa debit card info and bought a ticket to Rome on Air
France. Luckily I check my bank statements online constantly as a hobby
and I caught it instantly. My bank already put the money back in my
account and sent the dispute on to Visa.
Particularly around the holidays you need to be careful because thieves
know a lot of money may go through your account and you may be less
likely to notice a fraudulent charge.
So triplecheck your statements!
Also, take advantage of viewing your credit report one time annually
for free. The federal government passed a law about a year ago forcing
the three credit agencies to give these to us. The website that gives
you access is here:

Fear not, Orson Welles had incredible trouble making and releasing
Citizen Kane.
Unfortunately, PinGeek is suffering from mental illness (seriously) and
needs help, I hope someone contacts his family.
Your concept would be funny if this weren't true.

Mostly just hand tools will get you started.

If you're new at this, you might want to do one area at a time, rather than
stripping the whole thing at once.

I bought a stack of fishing tackle boxes, those clear plastic ones that are
about 2" high and have dividers in them to make 1" squares. As parts come
off, they go in the box, with a scrap of paper denoting what they are for.
You can use any divided box. I've heard of egg cartons being used the same
way, if you go through a lot of eggs and want to save a few bucks.

Probably would have been more accurate had the original poster called
it a restoration. Sounded like there were touchups involved.

I'm beyond disappointed now that a certain someone has fallen from graces
here as it's killed a project I was excited about releasing.
I was just about to advertise my new DVD, tentatively called, "The Making
of PinGeek", or, "PinGeek Gone Wild", where, as taping Unit #2, we spent
countless hours tracking behind the PinGeek scenes as he blazed a lense
toward people while they tried to play pinball, capturing the shocked look
of show-goers and of course, hawking his wares while interrupting
conversations he wasn't in. And much, much more. Plenty of our footage
shows him from the back walking away to his next target, but that's what
true cinema verite is all about and it impacts the film's tension.
Briefly, it's compelling video that truly demonstrates hunter and prey.
Our camera never stopped rolling. It also features action like him: parking
in handicapped spaces, eating non-Kosher lunches and dinners, dropping his
cellphone in the urinal, driving erratically on the interstate, etc.--we
simply spared no expense capturing the compelling emotional reality that
is truly PinGeek--and this delivers what you would expect.

Steve Charland:
Man I hear ya there. Good post. When I look over HEP's website and read
about the hours they put into restorations, I have no idea how they can
make enough money to make it worthwhile. I hope as the mystique grows
that Chris can raise prices.
I remember that post you're talking about. Seems to me he isn't
charging more than $25/hr labor rate. I tell ya, they have to be dang
efficient to be able to run a business at that price. Warehouse rent,
electric, heat, insurance.... the costs of owning a business are much
higher than people imagine.
I'm still looking at restoring a Funhouse and I can clearly see that if
I do what I'm thinking of doing, the amount I can charge for my own
labor is $0.00.
What HEP has done is supply the market with the confidence that if you
send them your game, it will come back FRIGGIN INCREDIBLE every single
time. That is what people are ultimately paying for.
You can charge more money if you reduce the clients' stress level.
Anyway, sorry for the interlude please continue arguing.. :-)

There is a Fish Tales for sale in the arcade at Spring Hill Mall, $1500.
A bit of a drive for you if you're at SIU, perhaps, it's in either West
Dundee or East Dundee on Rt. 72. They also had an Addams Family for
$2500. I didn't look real close at them, but they both looked to be in
decent shape.

You and Gary do have a lot in common.
Question is, do you consider that an insult or a compliment?

Chuck,
Read your own posts assclown. You insulted Gary and I. So it is fine
for you to insult?
5th grade? Is that your level of education?
There is no truth in your bizzare reality. You have been lying to
yourself so long you believe you own crap.
Metallik,
So I misread your post. Sorry. ONE million pardons.
