RGMW Mini-FAQ or how to avoid being flamed.

This mini-FAQ is a direct descendant of a mini-FAQ written and posted for
years by Blank Dave and Alistair Hutton. It has been rewritten to avoid
infringing on any copyright held by those two fine gentlemen and to bring
it up to date.

How can I access this group?
----------------------------
Hopefully your ISP provides free news server access as a part of it's basic
service, however if your ISP has closed down their News servers all is not
lost.

You can access Usenet via Google Groups. If you choose to do this, be aware
that there is a small community of cyber-racists who actively engage in
hate activities against what they term "google gropers".

[40k] [Model] LR video - old news?

Hey,

Already seen Eric Mundt's monster Land Raider model?
No? Here's the "Satek squared" YouTube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KWTtPAVbkw

The scale of the thing isn't apparent in this video, so:

Whew. Try and calculate the expense of a project like this!

Okay, so after sitting in numerous pieces for months and enduring a
recent move, I've modeled and painted my Reiklander Captain.

These pics were taken with an archaic Sony Cybershot, so bear with me.

Distance shot:

Angle:

The two small black patches on the base have since been touched-up.

My next project will be a sword/board warrior and an archer for the
warband.

This place has gone to the dogs. No one made a joke about your mother. And
sex. And her being dead and on fire.

It's...

It's like the sot that sculpted N*g**h tried to sculpt a Mancubus and
failed miserably.

They're really not the best Forgeworld work I've seen. In fact they have a
"garage kit" feel to them, like the work of enthusiastic amateurs.

[40k] Age of Strife Warhammer World weekend

Author: Spack

I'm still recovering from our 3 day gaming stint at Warhammer World this
weekend, but if anyone is interested in what 26 (I think it's 26, but I
might have missed someone) people, most of whom have never met in real life
and most were staying in the same hotel so personality clashes could have
been interesting, all of whom are members of Age of Strife
(http://www.ageofstrife.com), got up to them pop over to the site and check
out the pics and topics. To help out, here are some direct links:

Round up of the weekend:

The obligatory group shot (unfortunately killmaimburn and smurfy had already
left when we organised this):

right of the centre looking about 5' tall, I'm not that short - I'm 5' 9" -
I was leaning forward a little to make sure I wasn't in front of Slate,
which after seeing the photo I should have just moved a little to my left
into that gap, oh well)
