  65 doing intensively "phone marketing"

Author: goehnert

Hi everybody,

seems that 65 is calling all their old customers to offer bonus to
play again. I left 65 a time ago when I realized that this site is
fishy. Since then I received serveral emails offering me bonus which I
ignored. Since a while they are starting to call me on my mobile.
Today I told the agent that I will never play for sure on a site which
is playing tricks. He played the role of the innocent angel: "From
there did you get this information? We have never heard about that
there are rumors about" us etc etc.etc. I finished the call and told
him that I do not want to get contacted by them again. A minute later
he called again and left a message on my voice mail he wanted to
"discuss" the issue.

Does anybody receive this ridiculous calls too?

  backgame statistics

Author: pauldepstein

A well-known "rule of thumb" is that a well-timed ace-point game
generates a shot 90%% of the time. Sounds like an interesting and
useful factoid. Does anyone know any gems-of-wisdom for other
backgames such as the two-point backgame or 2 and 3 point backgame?

Thanks,

Paul Epstein

  PiranhaGammon evolves

Hello everyone,

I wasn´t really in for it, but aparently there are a few people out
there, who love what I´m doing.
One of those offered me a real gameserver for free, which is an
opportunity I just can´t deny.

I was in the middle of the next version for my "runs on any standard
homepage" project, I had planned to take my time with it, but now I´ve
invested a few days to finish that version, and I´ve completed it just
now.
First tests indicate, it is stable, at least we haven´t found the
smallest bug yet.
I´ve given it a careful version 0.5 alpha anyway, never know what
might come up the next days and weeks.
If it remains as stable as it seems, I´ll make it full version 1.0 in
a few weeks or so.

New on Play65: playing backgammon with no rating!

Author: Play65Official
Date: Aug 12, 2008 05:27

Hello to you all,
Just wanted to let you all know that play65 has just opened a new
playing room
in which one can play against others, no matter what rating he has.
The room is called the "dark room" and it's open to all Play65
players.
Please note that the rakes are different than usual, and anyway -
Enjoy and feel free to share your "dark room's experiences"!

Suppose the score is 1 away 2 away post crawford. The 1 away player
wins the opening roll with a 63. Snowie says that roll is an anti
joker. Explanation?

  Beijing Backgammon Olympic Tourney ;-)

Author: Tomawaky

In this Olympic period, I give you the opportunity to participate in a
competition, which in the spirit of Baron de Coubertin, would bring
together many people as possible, and a maximum of nations around our
favourite game : Backgammon. I will give to its outcome, 3 symbolic
medals to those nations that have been represented by their players
finalists.

I suggest that we start the tourney Wednesday, August 13, 12:00 PDT,
19:00 GMT, 21:00 CEST, 03:00 Thursday morning in Beijing.

The venue will not be beijing but on Fibs, the site is completely free
for access and availabe from Mac and Windows.

I chose a quick format : 1Pt with double elimination because I hope many
players. Do not disappoint me ;-)

Do not worry, this is not really serious, but don't you think it could
be fun ? As I proposed an exhibition match (Kit Woolsey vs Paul Money)
earlier this year which attracted no fewer than 80 people, I hope you
draw this time at the very heart of competition for the pleasure of all.

You have different softwares to connect to the server. For Mac and Windows.

Hi Play65Official Sheila Baker, I was Play65 user nicknamed SleepWalkerr in November 2006.

Author: Turk SleepWalker
Date: Aug 7, 2008 13:46

Hi Play65Official Sheila Baker,

Let me explain myself first. My name is Cemal Erköse, computer
engineer, 25. I was Play65 user nicknamed SleepWalkerr in November
2006. After completing my military service in Turkey, I wanted to have
a look at this group, for the complaints about Play65. Then I meet you
answering politely, for the matters between players and your company.

Hope you remember, Play65 closed my account with some funny reasons.
You can reach my previous mails in this community, when you search the
nickname "SleepWalkerr".

As a brief, you closed my account in Play65 and have taken my $3000. I
had been played more than 1000 games (total $25000) and all of them
were fair, so fast and well played games. The problem was that, Play65
told me so apart lies and absolutely no single proof for all those
lies. In the end, I was agreed for taking 1/7 of my money $500 with
leaving $3000 in your site, because I had had to join to the army,
where there is no internet connections or other communication
vehicles, a couple of days later..

I want to write here some laughable mails, received from Mr Paul one
of Play65 operators.
