Hello everyone, here's a mathematical Kelly formula issue I've been
struggling with for quite a while, and I have not yet managed to come
to a satisfactory answer...

Over the net there are vague hints towards a solution but I'm not
quite convinced yet. :) I'm trying to solve the problem of optimal bet
size for a situation where a bet may end up producing a win in
various mutually exclusive ways, each with their own probability and
return. The most promising source I've found so far is this series

Which unfortunately never goes to the third part. There are also
calculators around, some more credible than others... but they rarely
explain properly what is going on, it's just magic.. :) I would really
like to get some math pointers as to how exactly one goes about
determining the optimal kelly stake for the whole bet; just adding up
the subcases probably won't do...

Last week proved to be a very disappointing one as the bankroll
continued to siphon off coin like a late night prowler with a garden
hose in my vehicle's gas tank. Can't put my finger on exactly any one
issue to address, but there are certainly things that will have to

to those that find giving me a hard time entertaining.
