After the dust settled on Saturday's action, the selections
managed to come through with a 3-2 effort on the day. GRADE 5
selection on Stanford, however, took a beating and has the GRADE 5
record for the week standing at 3-3. Overall, the selections for the
week has accumulated a record of 13-12-1.
Wake Forest started the day out right by taking care of NC State
as they were supposed to by a count of 78-67. UAB followed that effort
by stinking up the court in an absolute blowout at the hands of
Memphis, 94-58. Stanford dropped their game at USC, while Kansas was
taking care of business at Texas A&M.
Rubber play of the day was on North Carolina in their bigtime
rematch with the Duke Blue Devils. After having a double digit lead
evaporate in the 2nd half, UNC showed the moxy of a championship squad
by scoring the last 10 points of the game in a hotly contested 76-68
victory. The win gives the Tarheels the #1 seed in the upcoming ACC
tournament in Charlotte.
