Q: What is CentSports.com?

A: CentSports.com is just one of many places on the Internet where
you can place bets on major sporting events.

What makes CentSports unique is that we're actually legal. Currently
you can't running a gambling website from inside the U.S. This site is
more like a fantasy-football game ... we give you a small amount of
play-money to start out with ... you make bets with this, just like
you could in Vegas ... but, again, you're just betting with 'play
money'.

However, if you do well enough ... i.e., if you win enough of your
play-money bets, we'll actually let you 'cash out' your play money for
real money ... and maybe other stuff like t-shirts, CentSports gear,
etc.

Q: Who developed / manages CentSports ... and why?

A: CentSports is being developed by a group of students and
professionals based out of College Station, Texas. Given the location,
most, though not all of us, are associated in some way or another with
Texas A&M University.

  NCAA Tournament - SWEET 16

March 26, 2008

First week of the "madness" has concluded and the teams still
vying for the national title now head for their regional sites. Two
number 12 seeds have reached this stage for the first time, but they
must contend with ALL 4 number 1 seeds still lurking in the brackets.

Starting the analysis with the Thursday matchups taking place in
both Charlotte, NC and Phoenix, AZ.

West Virginia and Xavier do battle in the first game of the night.
West Virginia comes into this game off an impressive defensive
performance against Duke, especially in the 2nd half of that game.
Trailing 34-29 at the break, the Mountaineers put the clamps down
holding the Devils to 38%% shooting for the game including an
absolutely pathetic 5 of 22 from behind the 3-point line. Huggins
seems to have his team rolling right along after this 73-67 win.

Xavier shot 54%% in their 2nd round win, an 85-78 versus the 6th
seed Purdue. Lavender, Anderson, and Duncan provided the offensive
spark for the Musketeers and their FT shooting (26-33 .788) down the
stretch allowed them to keep the Boilermakers at arms length.

A solid situational play and a good angle present a
solid percentage play tonight in Seattle. The 36-34
Wizzards move over to Key Arena to face the bottom-
dwelling Sonics (17-54).
The Wizzards are coming off a VERY POOR performance
last night, a blowout loss to a mediocre TrailBlazers squad
who were playing *WITHOUT* their top 2 scorers!
Typically, good teams will rebound from an ugly performance,
and one would think this is more readily accomplished
against a struggling team like Seattle, who are just 2-11 in
March...a Sonics team whom they crushed 108-86 in January
and which may be without two of their top three starters,
Chris Wilcox and Earl Watson in this rematch! Thus, Vegas
opened the Wizzards as 6 1/2 pt road favs, which has since
moved up to 7 1/2.
However, the line is overcompensating for the Sonics
recent 2-11 streak, which was achieved versus a tougher
group of opponents than Washington, including 10 road
games. Moreover, they outplayed Portland by 13 at home
two nights ago when the Blazers were at full strength but ...
