On the surface, the round 2 NCAA Tournament matchup Saturday night
at the Pepsi Center between the 5th seeded Spartans and the 4th
seeded
Panthers will look like a toss up to most.
Many will grab the underdog Spartans at +2 or +2.5 for just that
reason.
And why not? Their records are comparable from very good
conferences
and they are rated similarly. They own a better shooting efficiency on
the floor, from the charity stripe, and from behind the arc. They can
match Pitt in the halfcourt sets and the transition game. If they get
hot shooting it could be a very long night for the Panthers.
But what many will be overlooking, aside from the fact that the
Panthers
are on a 6 game roll and 3-0 against elite teams in that stretch, is
that the Panthers record is deceiving because they were WITHOUT their
key starter, Levance Fields (5.5 assists per game) from January 1 thru
February 14, and had to slowly work him back in for his first two
games.
Once he got his game back they've been a superior ball club - ...

Yesterday I subscribed to this site in order to get the basketball
predictions.
It's the first year I am going to bet on this sports.
This subscription is not free , it is a lot expensive too.
So I suppose they could give to me the right predictions for earning
money.
They were not of worthy.
I would like to let everyone known about this site : ahead!

Yesterday: 4-2, +1.80 units
Season: 88-89, -9.20 units

I made a one unit error in my reocrd a week ago. When I had that bad
0-5-1 day on Thursday the 13th that made my record -10.9 units but I
mistakenly said it was -9.9. I finally caught that error and the
-9.20 units is correct.

Managed to fund my Intertops account again, back to being able to line
shop two books....

Purdue +3.5 -115 vs Xavier (Intertops) -- Xavier really doesn't
have a lot of wins against good, tournament level teams. They built
up a great record beating NIT/CBI caliber teams, with a few
exceptions. Purdue only lost by more than 3 points in regulation
twice all season and just once since early December.

Marquette +3 vs Stanford (SIA)

Tournament finally took on the form that I am so use to seeing. Upsets
galore on Friday as some of the higher seeded teams were eliminated.

Fortunately, I was on the right side of the San Diego Torrerros as the
took out UConn 70-69 in OT with their two leading scorers watching
from the bench after being disqualified with fouls.

In Tampa Bay, for the first time ever all four lower seeded teams won
at one site of the tournament. I had 12 and 13 winning on Thursday
with Temple and Oral Roberts, if I had just known to wait til Friday I
would be in great shape....made that play just a day earlier.

Plays came through in solid fashion with a 4-2 mark that included a
GRADE 5 hit on Louisville. Both GRADE 4 plays hit as Miami and San
Diego did the deed. Two losses were GRADE 3 plays with Gonzaga and
Vanderbilt....Gonzaga held 13 point 2nd half lead before falling to
Davidson and the 30 second half points of Stephon Curry. Other play
was a winning selection on Arkansas as a GRADE 3 play.
