As a Phoenician, I met Barkley several times in my younger days during the Suns glory days (I was actually assigned to be his daughter, Christina's, reading partner when I was in 6th grade, and met him several times through there). He wrote in his book, Outrageous, that he loved to gamble. Craps was his game. Recently, he's had increasingly frequent reports of huge losses at the table or on side bets. He's good friends with Jordan and they make a lot of side bets. But last year or two years ago he lost $1M in a single night. The $10M I doubt, but we do know it's in debt. I still listen to Phoenix radio during the day over the net, and I heard a clip where he admitted his mistake and is taking measures to reconcile it. Barkley's a stand-up guy, he'll do what's right.
