- It really is that hot. Don't attempt to walk from MGM to Oshea's
and then the Venetian in long pants. Especially if you actually spent
$ on renting a car.

- From what I saw the Vegas pros were the best at extracting money
from an unskilled player with little risk to themselves. The best
example was the freakishly large pf raises that a tourist might not
know to call with a hand like QJs because they usually think only
about there own cards.

They Vegas pros were not as clever against other good players.
Explains why I saw so many of them checking down obvious good or
becoming visibly annoyed if one of us outsiders played back at them.

(This is analagous to watching good online players make occasional
forays into B&M card rooms. They are usually experts at things like
equity, isolation and steal moves, pot odds etc.but very green at
table image and how to talk in the presence of weak players. It's as
though they WANT everyone playing a serious competitve analytical game
like they do).

"Poker After Dark" shifted formats this week . In the past they played a
six handed $20K buy-in tournament which was about as exciting as watching
paint dry. The rapidly rising blinds and antes made it a crap shoot and the
big name players weren't very excited about the $20K buy-in and it showed.
Many of them just sat there yawning and acting bored. Well they changed to
a cash game format and the players bought in for $100K to $250K. It was
much more interesting to watch and the show's directors did a good job of
selecting the players. Guy LaLiberte, who has more money than all the poker
pros in Las Vegas combined. Mike Baxter who is a strong amateur player with
a lot of heart - definitely not afraid to put his chips in play. Phil
Helmuth, at his whiney ass best. Beautiful...

How could one doubt the legitimacy of online poker? No one knows who
