Anyone who wants to give away their ideas should protect it under the
GPL to deter people who try to steal it and make money off of it. It
might not be much, but it's something.

Comment on rigged online poker sites

I doubt that the company who runs the site is involved in any rigged site.
But, the computer programmers that I know always have a secret back door
to all the programs they develop. Only they have the key to enter. If
anyone is using online poker sites to their advantage it would be them and
it would be very secret and only on an individual level, not a company
practice.

It's a trick question. As you should know,
it depends. Let's see.

Usually, a player, playing on 6 tables, is going to
make more mistakes than if he were playing on
only one table. He would have less time to gauge
the moods of the table. So, his percentage would
go down.

On the other hand, if he were a winning player,
he would be getting into the long run quicker.
Luck would balance out sooner, putting him
closer to his true theoretical winning percentage.

If, playing one table, he had an exceptionally bad
run of cards, then playing six tables would be better.
Things would tend to balance out sooner.
Diversification helps to lessen variance.

  Poker tv show name?

Author: Stupid Donkey
Date: Dec 31, 2006 20:33

I recently caught a new poker tv show on TV where it was a roundtable format
and they analyzed hands an discussed them. I can't for the life of me
remember the name of the show. Does anyone know the name of it? I'm trying
to find information about it and so I know when I can view it on my cable
provider.

I think it's something like poke cafe and they have guest pros on it like
Harrington.

Thanks!
