  Absolute changes Bonus Payout Policy

Author: pokerchimp
Date: Dec 21, 2006 23:59

I know it seems like I am picking on Absolute today, but I feel duped.
Absolute/Vegas247 changed their bonus policy. Now you must actually see a
flop (or see 4th st in stud) in order to qualify for points toward your
bonus. They did reduce the number of points needed for each $10 in bonus
from 100 to 75, but still, if you are a reasonably tight player this bonus
will take forever to achieve. I have $640 yet to clear. It didn't take
me very long to clear the first $100. It took me all day today to clear
the next $10. Seems unfair to those who deposited under the old
guidelines. Too bad you can't sue offshore sites for breach of contract.

OT: Anderson Cooper's take on the Rosie/The Donald flap

Author: Howard Beale
Date: Dec 21, 2006 22:45

Did anybody see Anderson Cooper's coverage of the brou-ha-ha? I like the
guy more now than before.

First he leads into Rosie' remark. Back to him and he's eating from a bag
of popcorn. Next he introduces The Donald's retort. Back to Anderson and
he's got the bag of popcorn and he's now sipping from a big cup of Coke.
Back to Rosie. Next Anderson's eating a candy bar and sipping from the
Coke. Back to Donald. Now Anderson's eating a twizzler. Back and forth.
He must've been stuffed by the end.

Oh, well, I thought it was funny.

Howard Beale

  SNG NL Speed statedgy?

Author: Dac
Date: Dec 21, 2006 22:30

Any online sites with good stats/analysis of recommened ways to play
different hands with different people left and in different positions? My
friend is making tonnes player SNGs on party, but I always end up brake
evenish. He seems to get though to 1st very often (once every 4 or 5 times)
and in the money almost every time. Haven't noticed anything different in
the way we play really.

I always seem to end up having to go in on Ax or a low pair and eventually
get unlucky and beaten by a worse hand or some monster hand.

I took it upon myself to actually go ahead and try to find anyone whoever
mentioned your software, PokerSync.

Oddly enough you are the only person who ever mentioned it and that was
only in this thread.

Why lie ?

Are YOU the one selling it ?

Thank YOU

In response to the telegrammed question of New York's Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein
in 1929: "Do you believe in God? Stop. Answer paid 50 words." Einstein replied
"I believe in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinoza's God, Who reveals Himself in
the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate
and the doings of mankind."

If by 'been there a long time and know each other' you mean: have been
playing on the same table together for the last hour and are in a way
rooting for each other to cash or make it to the final table, then I'll
agree.
I've seen that happen in every MTT I've ever ran deep in.

IF he really had AA, he was probably afraid of being called by a smaller
pocket pair and having his opponent flop a set... if he didn't show it after
claiming it he was more likely on the steal and afraid someone would call
his bluff.

Her hygiene doesn't interest me. She's entertaining and funny. Of
course, I realize it's trendy to bash her these days. I guess it's all
in perception.
