We have had a VillaWare waffle maker (standard waffles) for several
years and like it a lot. You have to use the highest heat setting for
crisp waffles.
As for a mix, I can't help you. I do recommend a recipe where most of
the work is done the night before - the batter sits and rises overnight.
I believe it is better than any mix. The recipe is here:
