Napoleon flatware

"Every piece features oversized European styling, business ends crafted of
gleaming 18/10 stainless steel, and an ornate filigree detail where the
steel meets the plastic handle."

"European sizing with elaborate filigree and opalescent sheen."

Horchow's Napoleon place settings would be $125; there is really no
description.

Regarding the Amazon/Roseanne, I'm not sure what 'oversized' means;
'business ends' mean, and what the ornate filigree detail metal is -- it
looks dark ...
Also not sure what 'European sizing' means.

Any comments welcome.

Thanks.
Dee

Yes, I get this Oh, Dee! from DH all the time. It's always said so sweetly.

Thanks for the 'business end, etc.' it makes sense, but I would not have
realized it myself.

Hmm -- I'm guessing the pewter-look on this couldn't get any worse-looking,
unless dishwasher crud/food would happen to bake on the indentations. ;-))

We been using a set of Johnson Bros. Blue Willow, but I

I'm fond of Blue Willow me-self.
One year I bought the Johnson Bros. Indies-Blue turkey platter and gravy
bowl; I know you know it -- it is very familiar.

Another instance of buying something I like, but not the whole shebang. I
do use the platter a lot for fruit.

If it is actually pewter trim, which I doubt, the dishwasher would totally
ruin it.

Re the blue patterns, this is the one of the sets that I 'inherited' from
m-i-l's cupboard or attic, maybe one that she had inherited from one of her
cousins. SHAKESPEARE COUNTRY-BLUE by ROYAL ESSEX, but I've tired already
using it only for a few months and put it on the shelves. I keep out some
of the small cocktail fruit bowls, I think they might be called.

But I was going to bring up the pink but the posting got too long, so funny
you should mention it. My aunt in San Diego had a nice pink pattern I
liked, and I always enjoyed Sunday dinners served with those. I really like
the Churchill China Brook Pink you show.
