Thats exactly what you end up with when you reduce the plunger in a
tea press, except a little piece of rod sticking through the top which
you cap to hold the filter in place. Notice the filter just below the
spout. I did this for tea presses from 100mL to 1L which you can find
dirt cheap in discount stores. The owner of my local tea shoppe gave
me the heads up.
