HEY PATI -- I will be coming to Lizard Land next week to stay at our
cabin in the mountains for TWO months :-))). I will even be bringing a
kitty with me, assuming her blood work comes back and everything is OK.
I hope to be able to get to the valley for another meet & greet with
you and B'fly if she's in town.
Since I will be there for so long, I hope we might be able to
convince whoever the other quilter is who lives in the area to meet with
us. I will be back to the valley for the SMDGD's FIRST day of school on
11 August when she starts kindergarten. Other than that, I can come to
the valley whenever I choose. I don't want to come down too often --
the cost of gas to go up and down the mountain would likely wipe out any
"discretionary income" I had available -- LOLOL! Also, I can't stay in
the valley for too long as I will have to leave the kitty at the cabin.
I don't like to leave her alone up there for more than 2 or 3 nights
at the most.
I will be bringing the fabric I have collected to make DD an
"Egyptian" quilt but I will need to get some backing and batting. The
batting I will get at TSWLTH with a coupon but I'm not sure I trust
their backing. I have tons of stuff to sew for the SMDGD and all sorts
of needlework to do so I am sure I will be busy! I'm seriously thinking ...

I am soooo mathmatically challenged! I am in the process of laying
out my next project. EQ5 I think has lost it's mind. It's a very
simple quilt. Ohio star blocks w/plain bocks in between - kind of.
Anyhow...I have a total of 156 plain and 1/2 triangle setting blocks.
They are 6 in. square. EQ5 is telling me I need 30 yds! I know this
is wrong but not sure how much fabric I really do need. I can not for
the life of me calculate this and my local sources are all busy and
not answering their phones! Help, PLEASE! TIA
