Shari Slonski is from the Far North. She knows what the aurora really looks
like.

(I often wish other bead-makers wouldn't be afraid to make similar beads to
a well known lampworker, but in different colors. Eg, Ever After flowers
always seem to have some purple and I just don't like purple beads).

Some of the German lampworkers make beads with a very different feel

Are you fricking kidding me?! I was almost crucified on LampworkEtc. for
admitting that I copied someone else's *technique* just to try to figure out
how they made the glass do a certain thing. It was borosilicate glass and I
hadn't ever seen glass do a particular thing so I wanted to try the
*technique* as best as I guessed how it might work. I even credited the
original artist for inspiring me with the *technique* which I have since
learned was certainly no original idea by her but something pretty standard
and oft used by other glass artists.
