Thanks - good idea. I didn't buy my albums from Subway so didn't know they handled them. I'll send them an email and see what
turns up.

G'day Tom,
I had to google, I had not come across the term "paste up" before,
it seems highly specialised with prices from $45 to open ended,
there are a few with images here
http://www.hrharmer.com/sales/2961/HTML/2961_05.html

Perhaps you can email harmers for any links to specialised sites.

  New collecting/cataloging website: Ourchives

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to give you a heads up on a startup website/company I am
starting.

The focus will be on letting users catalog all of their things, and
share them with others. Think flickr for anything and everything.

If you're interested, head over to http://www.ourchives.info and sign
up for the newsletter. I'm going to need some beta testers at some
point, and I'd love your participation and input. Thanks!

(RCSD) Help ID this Princess Diana / AIDS stamp

Author: Aaron Lawrence
Date: Jan 27, 2008 22:58

Hi,

I'm the fellow who runs www.aidsonstamps.com, the topical homepage for
AIDS on stamps. I'm about to add one stamp to our listings, but I
can't figure out what year or what the Scott number is. (I confess, I
don't have ready access to the Scott guides).

Can someone help me ID this stamp? It's part of a souvenier sheet.

I'm referring to the top-right stamp on the sheet.

Thanks!

Re: A Question Concerning Australia Postage

Author: Rein
Date: Jan 27, 2008 04:40

Rodney,

How does the Post levy this GST when you're using stamps for domestic
purposes that don't bear 'International Post"??

groetjes, Rein

"What is the GST?

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Australia is a Value Added Tax (VAT)
on the supply of goods and services in Australia.

It was introduced by the Federal Government with the A New Tax System
(Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999, taking effect from July 1 2000. The
basic premise of the new tax was to broaden the tax base, which was
heavily biased toward the provision of services.

Prior to the GST, Australia operated a Wholesale Sales Tax (WST) which
imposed a tax on wholesales of goods. The WST was implemented in the 30's
when Australia had an economy dominated by goods. Over the years however,
Australia's economy evolved to be more services based, and the GST served
to strip the unfair tax advantage that service providing businesses had
over suppliers of goods.

The GST is levied at a flat rate of 10%% on most goods and services, apart
from gst exempt items, and input taxed goods and services."

  (RCSD) OT: quirks of typing.

Author: rodney
Date: Jan 26, 2008 22:36

It seems constantly, when I am typing, certain words
always appear incorrect, like when I type "what" it comes out
"waht",
In my head I am typing "what".
Is there a known occurence of this aberation?
I'd like to read more about it.
Thanks.

(old age is not a suitable explanation :)

Thanks to Gazza, I understand a little more on the quirks of NI.
More can be understood by reading this preamble of their
own, and first murder on the island, and their attitude
towards Australia.
