Re: Ebay More Crooked Than Some Crooks - rant

Did you fund your payment with your credit card ?

If so, call them up and dispute the charge, let them know you have returned
the package and have proof that you have done so.

If you didn't then you'll know that next time you use Paypal, always fund
with your credit card.

Haidarabad,
Great Britain had its "Squared circle" cancelations,
Haidarabad has its "Circled square" cancelations.

You never know what you are going to get with
India stamps.
(Sometimes one is lucky and manages to get
the beautiful Travancore issues in the lot)

I cannot locate this design in SG.
The central fleuron is an Elephants trunk holding a stick.
This stamp's format is not shown anywhere.

What do I have here?

It was Leyden / Leiden,

now it's Edelweiss / Eidelweiss it seems.

I opt for Eidelweiss myself.

Appreciation to Jill, who spotted this marvellous footage.

OK, off yer bums, strap on the leather helmet,
spit in the goggles to reduce fogging, wrap the scarf
around yer neck, and buckle up for a great ride...................

Sorry, you misunderstood me.
It was a lot in a local auction here, which I purchased
for myself.
Probably in the US, used SG would be a rarity,
here they come up quite often.
The weight is such, it would be a reasonable purchase
from ebay I should think, without the addition of exhorbitant
postage.

Here is one from a set of 12 from the Cape.
A Cinderella but perhaps a rarity for you,
because this fellow (Spheniscus demersus) no longer
has the name of "Jackass Penguin"
so may be difficult to find on a stamp.
I didn't realise they were nedangered, the films
I have seen of them, there were thousands.
Anyhow, over to you.
