Hmm, the hawk was found along a . . . highway. Yep, there's just no
telling what caused that birds crop to burst. My guess, for scandalous
headline purposes, is that the family of the recent meal attacked and
killed the hawk in revenge and then tried to free the victim only to
discover that it was too late whereupon they left when they saw the
large, gloved human approaching.
