It's been remarkably quiet in here concerning the little dust-up
between Montoya and Kyle Busch. I was glad to hear Wally and Kyle
Petty say that Montoya was out of line to intentionally wreck someone
under caution.
He got a two lap penalty. He deserved more. That was completely
uncalled for.

What can I say? I was absolutely, positively dead wrong on all accounts!
The only redeeming factor is that a Dodge took the checker.... I think I'll
join pig in a duet.... doo dah... doo dah....

[Sing to the tune of Camptown Races...]
My picks are wrong and I don't care....Kurt won! Kurt won!
Pick scoring's all mixed in down there.....Kurt won today!

I haven¹t been so happy to not hear DW and all his self promoting crap since
a few weeks back when he couldn¹t talk, yet still did.
Bill does have his own catch phrase, if you would just listen to the
broadcast very carefully you will hear it ABOUT a Hundred times in a row.
³we¹ll see how that plays out². The one other thing that I admire about Bill
Weber and his way of broadcasting is like the article says about ³you¹re
watching Nascar on TNT, as you go to break? Why wouldn¹t he say that while
we are actually watching the broadcast? And you have to love it when
something actually happens and he is too busy talking about some mindless
BSŠ oh by the way did you happen to see that? Everybody else didŠ. Bill,
please continue telling us what car it is we are watching and who is driving
that car...

Lets See... Carpenteir and Bobby Labonte on the first row. Sorenson
and Franchitti in start 6th and 7th. The top Toyota is Allmendinger
in 10th. Juan was fastest in the third practice.... Who knows what
will happen in the race...... It's a shame that I threw away my
crystal ball. It was cracked and chipped and all, but it would have
at least given me an excuse for what could be a bevy of bad picks this
week.
Winner: Ryan Newman. He was decent in practice and 16th isn't that
far back to start.
1. Patrick has qual'ed on time in every race he has attempted this
year and surprised them in practice today, but I don't think he can
hold on to the lead for the whole race. He will however score a top
10.
2. Bobby Labonte will be the highest finishing, non-winning Dodge.
3. Smoke will again be looking for excuses about his run as he
finishes behind Terry Labonte.
4. Rowdy tries to make up for a so-so qualifying run by charging
through the field, but it backfires on him. Rowdy finishes outside
the top 20.

As pig sez, this is a tough one to figger. At least it's easier (for me)
than a road course. The Dodge's are strong and a win by Mopar would tickle
me to no end.
Here are my top five (in no order)
Harvick
Gordon
Johnson
Earnhardt
Sorenson
The UNIVAC sez that Harvick should be the winner, but my gut sez Sorenson.
He has struggled all year but he has been consistent in practice and
qualifying. He is VERY motivated to keep his job so I'm goin' with my gut
and picking Reed for the checker
The top rookie will be Mr Judd. His stats for this race are far and away
better than any other rookie. If he can can only keep from crashing.
Let the games begin!

Heh heh.
Well, you're going to be among the last of the losers in the
RPG game if you let everybody else collect points by making
5 one-point guesses plus a winner pick (worth 3 points).
Or at least the odds are agin' ya.
But it's a play-as-you-like game. :o)
