  Passat side view mirror shell?

Author: adam8ants

I have a 2000 Passat. The plastic shell of the driver side mirror was
hit, cracked, and fell off. The rest of the mirror is undamaged.

Where can I purchase just the outer shell? I don't need to replace
the entire mirror assembly.

Thanks,

AABob

  Passat mirror

The plastic shell of the driver side mirror is cracked, but the mirror
and motor are fine. Where can I get a replacement shell? It seems I
have to purchase the entire mirror unit, which I don't need. Any
ideas?

Thanks

  2000 Passat low beam out

The driver side low/high combo bulb stopped working. I changed the
bulb, but it is still no good. I also checked the fuses and they are
good. I should note that my car was lightly rear-ended when this
problem started. What could it be?

Thanks

Please don't, they are SMOKING POLLUTING rusty guns.
Also remember a rusty body offers little protection from other vehicles.

No as for the new advanced diesels of this year, go for them.
