hello,
I've had this problem on my 2001 4-cyl accord (automatic) for a while.
It has 55K miles on it.
When accelerating from a low speed, the acceleration is often not
smooth, it feels like its being kicked from behind. The problem has
not gotten worse nor better. I've posted before and gotten a few
suggestions and want to get advice on the comments received.
1. Automatic transmission issue - extended warranty.
I checked online and this appears to be for 6 cyl cars and am not
sure if my problem is really that.
2. EGR valve - how to diagnose this?
I have no check engine light nor code.
3. Fuel filter - I was told in another forum that this does not
require replacement.
4. spark plugs - I was told in another forum that platinum types don't
require repl till 100K miles.
5. Air filter - replaced once, but didn't help.
6. Air Intake manifold - how to check if I need to get this cleaned?
7. Anything else??

The truth about the remaining dark secret of the Iran-Contra scandal- the
United States government's collaboration with drug smugglers.
Congressional committees have established a link between American agencies
and known drug traffickers. In Powderburns for the first time, a DEA agent
goes public with detailed information about U.S. links to drug trafficking
in Central America.
Powderburns is the story of Celerino Castillo III who spent 12 years in the
Drug Enforcement Administration. During that time, he built cases against
organized drug rings in Manhattan, raided jungle cocaine labs in the
Amazon, conducted aerial eradication operations in Guatemala, and assembled
and trained anti-narcotics units in several countries.
The eerie climax of Agent Castillo's career with the DEA took place in El
Salvador. One day, he recieved a cable from a fellow agent. He was told to
investigate possible drug smuggling by Nicaraguan Contras operating from
the ilpango air force base.

Good afternoon.
The local Napa store quotes me $44 for a brake drum for my 1991 Accord.
The local Honda dealer quotes $114.
Any words of wisdom on whatever Napa is selling here?
(My favorite online Honda parts dealer quotes $65, but then there's the
shipping and the wait time.)
Thanks
-Mark

Good afternoon.
I am about to install a new set of rear brake shoes on my 1991 Accord.
What is the correct procedure to break them in properly?
Thanks
-Mark

I have a '95 Civic, about 85,000 miles on it (I don't drive it that much).
The automatic transmission shift lever used to be very easy and smooth
to shift. But not anymore. Now just shifting out of park into reverse,
or shifting from reverse into drive, that shift lever is getting harder
and harder to move. Once it does shift into position, the transmission
works perfectly. It's just moving the damn shift lever that's getting
more difficult.
Any ideas what could be at fault here?

98 Civic LX w/ 5 speed manual trans..121,000 miles
Car shifts fine through all gears...No shifting problems whatsoever..
but there is a awful lot of "slop" with the gearshift when in any gear..
Example..I can move the gearshift lever probably a good 4-6 inches from
left to right of center while in any gear..
Any thoughs..Maybe some kind of bushing worn ?
Thanks..
Rich

On my 06 Accord, I generally take it in after the 15%% reminder comes on.
That seems to occur around 6,700 miles. I would stick to the manual rather
than listen to the dealer who wants to sell you service you don't need. In
fact, you might want to find a different dealer.

aluminum 3
chromium 1

tin 0
cSt viscosity at 100C 10.18
insolubles 0.3%%
what was my change interval? bonus points for the brand of oil.
