I was busy Friday cooking Jambalaya and White beans for a Children's
Miracle Network and entered a Jambalaya contest on Saturday Took 7th place
out of 20 pots. What hurts got beat by a first time 13 year old girl. Dad
was supervising.
On Sunday, I took a ride to Venice (3hr drive). There were tons of clean up
people and boats but no one was working. I spoke with a few fish boat
captains and they stated BP hired them but they have not left the dock in 10
days. Manage to get a boat ride through some of the oil soaked marsh. I
can tell you what the media is reporting is for from the truth.
I was not allowed by the boat Captain to bring my camera on board as he
feared he would lose his job. He is an oyster fisherman that was unemployed
until BP hired him to sit idle at the dock. He tells me that what he showed
me was only a small portion of marsh that was damaged. There are many more
acres that was soaked in oil.

The 1986 Chrysler New Yorker was a futuristic talking cars. Now it
seems that years later someone has put 2+2 together and discovered
the Pentastar luxury barge sounds a lot like a Speak & Spell.
See the video below where the two similarly-voiced units a chance to
get to know each other. Speak & Spell kept asking questions that
were just too much for the New Yorker. They probably never made it to
the Second Date much less Second Base.

Is anyone else seeing motor oil getting more expensive - either on the
parts-store's shelves, or during an oil change at the dealership?
Is anyone else seeing oil being packaged in 900-odd ml containers,
instead of 1 liter?
In August I had an oil change at the dealer. They charged $2.75 /
unit, 5 units (I'm assuming that a unit is a liter).
I just had it changed again last week. Price was $3.10 / unit.
(These are CDN dollars).
Was there a consolidation of the oil industry this year? Did Penzoil
buy Valvoline (or some such thing) ?

Just a follow up to say I solved my left mirror dipping on backup and
also it's erratic action, by turning off that auto function.
My overhead console doesn't have the function to control several
functions, including the mirror, but the owners manual described a
procedure to turn off that function.
Since I back out of my driveway uphill, I can see better without the
left mirror dipping. It's really a dipping right side mirror I would
like to have, so I could see the curb when parking.

I was happy with Chrysler vehicles; up to 2004. Certainly not after,
because of their abandoning good FWD cars. THX Daimler!
You should learn your facts or use your brain before you spout off your
BIG mouth.
The Chrysler vehicles we used to buy, mid sized cars, were lower priced
than the equivalent Toyota, Honda, Nissan. The Chrysler quality was
excellent.
Those cheap "Japanese" vehicles don't suit us, in fact most are too
small for us to get behind the steering wheel.
The cheap Japanese cars that fitted us were back in the 70s,
when I bought 3 Datsun 510s.

Could it be that is what they intended?
Wouldn't surprise me, with what Daimler did to Chrysler.
