So, what did you think of Sunday's episode (5/4). If you haven't seen
it, skip this.
1. Justin and his "sister". This plot just seems SO "Bold and
Beautiful" to me. That's not a good thing. I really wish they had just
kept her a Walker, and let her ongoing story be one of trying to graft
onto this family.
2. Saul coming out. Touching. Painful. But kind of random. And
utterly jerkily handled. He squanders the family business. Because
he's a closeted gay man? How does that connect? Then he gets drunk and
crashes his car over it. That's fine...and THIS provokes his coming
out? It really felt like the writers just want to end his closet and
explore what it means to come out in your 60s. Going forward, I think
Saul's story will be interesting.
3. Kitty and the baby lust. I do not understand this story. She was
pregnant on the campaign, and lost the baby. So we know she is not
infertile AND we know she wasn't exactly craving a baby. Why, suddenly,
a few months later is she infertile, and wanting her husband to give up
what he is (a politician) to raise a second family?

Beverlee McKinsey
McKINSEY, Beverlee Died May 2nd, 2008 in Los Angeles from
complications due to a kidney transplant. She was 72 years old. Ms.
McKinsey was an actor best known for roles in daytime television. She
created the character Iris Carrington on NBC's Another World, and
played the part from 1970-1979. She also created the role of Alexandra
Spaulding on CBS's Guiding Light, and performed it from 1984-1992. In
1980, NBC developed the program Texas to capitalize on the popularity
of her character, Iris Carrington; and Ms. McKinsey was the first and
only performer in the history of daytime drama to receive star
billing. In 1998, the editors of Soap Opera Magazine voted her the
best actor in the history of daytime television. TV Guide's, Michael
Logan, wrote of her in 1992, "For my money, Beverlee McKinsey is the
greatest actress ever to grace daytime drama." Ms. McKinsey performed
the lead role of Corie on Broadway in the original production of Neil
Simon's, Barefoot in the Park, where she was directed by Mike Nichols,
and co-starred with Robert Redford. She also originated the role of

I was willing to give GL a chance, and the first few weeks of their new
format was okay, but maybe because of the stories that were going on then,
mostly Cassie & the devil child. But after that story wrapped up, GL has
gotten dumber than dumb, with Alan still living at Company (you mean he
doesnt have any high profile friends out of town that would come to his
rescue, and put him up somewhere else.....after a month he's still living in
a closet? Ugh!) Dinah hangs around the Spaulding Room (that's no mansion,
it's one set, and it's boring as hell to look at now) We still have Gus's
remnants hanging around, and both of them should have left town already.
Now lets have a movie of Reva's life????
Maybe it's just me, but this easily is some of the worst that GL has offered
in years!!! My patience is wearing thin. There aren't any stories, just
location shoots. And location shooting is fine, if you are telling a story
with it. But they've stopped doing that. There's not even a build up to
Fridays anymore, no more cliffhangers. How do writers forget to write????

These were some of "As The World Turns" Notes Of the Week for me:
What a way to begin the week with Casey half naked on the couch.
"Juicy Janet" - What a way for dufus Brad to refer to someone from his
past and a real nice way to introduce a new character.
The sound effects department needs to learn how to put a little more
effort into making the sound of a battery becoming weak before going
dead on a car after trying to start it up for so long.
They made no effort whatsoever for such a sound effect.
How many times a week do Carly and Holden accidently cross paths?
Holden has always thought of Carly as trouble for Lily. It is amazing
to see him inside her home telling her about how he hopes he and Lily
can work out their problems for the sake of the kids. Then all within
5 minutes is offering to take Carly on a road trip to check out their
Summer Camp. How would Holden feel if Lily had done the same with
Dusty?

What ever happened to Lilly and Holdens home, also Katie and Mikes home? Why
are the Snyders living at the farm and Katie and Brad at a hotel? Are they
trying to save money on set decorations?
