Hey folks, Rich Johnson here. Anybody remember me and Judy from the
old ratm days?
I just wanted to drop by to say we just got our copy of Cinematic
Titanic's "The Doomsday Machine". We loved it. The riffing in the
first half hour is amazing. It slows a little as the movie plods on.
But there are still some gems later on, like Mary Jo's observation -
"This movie has more padding than a Tyler Perry character".
The movie itself goes from amusingly silly at the beginning to pretty
dark. It reminded me a lot of "Rocketship XM" in that respect. But
it's done so ineptly that it's not a downer. And the riffing is mostly
first-rate. They even stop the movie a couple of times to do something
similar to host segments.
I can't wait for the next one.
