I've only just got round to watching the first season of Jeremiah - living
in the UK, it is quite a hassle getting hold of the episodes...but that's
another debate altogether. So can someone please help me with a Jeremiah
cast query I've got?
In the double length pilot, there is a character called Sarah, played by
Tricia Helfer, but in the next episode, she isn't there - yet there is a
woman called Erin who somehow seems to have taken Sarah's place. Obviously
they're two different characters, but it just seems Erin has replaced
Sarah....and no explanation is given for Sarah's vanishing act. So what's
the story here? :/
Many thanks.

I have noted quite a downbeat response to the post by JMS stating his
line in the sand and holding WB to a high quality treatment of the B5
universe. Prior to the post, I suspect that the chance for more B5
stories like TLT and a movie were slim. Now that JMS has raised the
stakes, the chances for a new feature length big screen B5 movie and
future TLT to DVD are higher than ever. Let me explain my position.
Having listened to and read what JMS says and writes, one should
always be very careful to not read only the surface of what JMS
writes. As he notes in the B5 Script books, there is the truth, then
there...

Has anyone checked out the film "Exorcist II: The Heretic"? I have
been told that the story, dialogue, costumes, lighting, even the sets
are virtually identical to Lochley's storyline in the Lost Tales. It
would be interesting to know what others think- I have been told it is
uncanny.

Did we wish Jerry a happy birthday? I think it was yesterday, the
16th. If not,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRY! And many more.

Our own Lt. Cdr. Laurel Takishima. She had a small part as an
Oklahoma City assistant district attorney in the season premier of
"Saving Grace" on TNT. And for those who wonder about such things,
YES, she was lookin' awfully good.
"Grace" is another good series, BTW, for those who haven't seen it.
So is its lead-in, "The Closer" with Kyra Sedgwick. Nice to have
something new to watch.
Regards,
Joe

Hi!
This isn't B5 related but maybe someone can help.
Is there a website or discussion group where one can go to describe a
book one started to read, but now can't remember the name, and see if
anybody else recognizes it?
Here's mine. it's at least 20 years old.
The book opens with a blacksmith putting the finishing touches on a
sword and dagger set. As you may be aware, metal is sometimes
"tempered" by inserting the hot blade into water. in this case the
smith tempers the sword by skewering a bound prisoner with it, and
tempers the dagger by beheading another prisoner.
Does this right a bell for anybody? Or is there another place to go
where i can ask?
Thank you!

I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did.
I said I didn't know.

OV3 is available, for anyone who might have missed the e-mail. I ordered
mine already.
This one is a bit of a duplication for me. I already have the
separately-published script for Day of the Dead which is going to be
reproduced in this volume. (I have no memory of buying it, don't know
when or where I got it, but I have it anyway.)
But it's better to have a duplicate than to miss something.
(Jan
-- any hint about the August surprise, or are you going to pull a
JMS "I can't talk about that" on us?)
